Southwest Airmotive is pleased to announce that its long-awaited NDT line is fully operational and has been up and running since the final quarter of 2021. The company’s NDT capabilities have been officially added to its Operational Specifications with the FAA.
“The NDT line enables us to significantly reduce our turn-around time for heavy maintenance,” says President and CEO Dwight Cox. “But also on smaller projects like hot section inspections we have experienced shorter turn times.”
The company is also moving forward with facilities expansion and is physically breaking ground this month – January 2022 – on a 6400 sq. ft. extension, which will increase the facility size 60% to approximately 16,000 sq. ft.
“The additional space will expand Southwest’s production capabilities as more and more PT6 operators look to us for the affordable, quality maintenance service that has been the company’s trademark for nearly two decades,” Mr. Cox proudly reports. Completion of the new addition is expected during summer 2022.
